FAQ
Find answers to common Subshell usage questions.
Does closing a browser stop my agent?
Closing a tab disconnects your view. The agent continues while its machine and process remain running. The subshell's Close menu action permanently deletes the session and its captured history.
Where do project files live?
Files belong to the execution machine's working directory. The browser displays the terminal; it does not move the project to your viewing device.
Do I need a node on every viewing device?
No. A browser is enough to view a reachable server. Enroll a device only when you want it to execute agents.
Does a harness plugin install the agent everywhere?
No. The control plane holds the plugin, while each execution machine needs the agent CLI and its provider configuration.
Can an administrator delete another user's session?
No. Administrators have operator edit access, but permanent deletion and sharing changes stay with the owner.
Are terminal logs encrypted like channel messages?
No. Channel bodies are recipient-encrypted. Terminal streams, captured logs, and channel metadata have different exposure.
Why can an MCP agent list a session it cannot control?
List disclosure includes shared rows. Detail and write operations with a pane token remain constrained to its owner's sessions.
