Audit log
Review administrative activity in the instance's audit trail.
Before you start
Use an administrator session. Audit records describe actions on the control plane, not every command an agent runs.
Open the trail
- In the server dashboard's sidebar, open Server Settings → Logs.
- Select the audit view.
- Review the actor, action, target, and time associated with the operation.
- Page through results when investigating a sequence of changes.
Account creation and recovery, configuration changes, plugin actions, and other audited operations provide a record of instance management. Credentials such as provider client secrets are not serialized into audit payloads.
Correlate failures
API error responses include a machine-readable code and an error ID. Logged server errors can be correlated through the error ID. Expected client errors are not necessarily logged, so the absence of a matching system-log entry does not prove a request succeeded.
Keep timestamps, response codes, and the relevant operation when reporting an issue. Avoid copying authentication headers or secret configuration values.
Limits
The audit trail is stored by the same instance it describes. It is not an independent tamper-proof ledger. Direct terminal input and filesystem changes by agents are outside its comprehensive coverage.
